ClearCyprus is an independent information website that publishes the Cyprus tax, cost and residency numbers in force since 1 January 2026, and introduces you to a licensed Cyprus firm when you ask, for founders, high earners, remote workers and families deciding whether to move to Cyprus.

You pay us nothing. We do not form companies, file tax returns or sell property. You read the numbers, run your own sums, and talk to a licensed firm only when you want to.

What ClearCyprus does

Country guides for 17 home countries

Each guide puts your home country's tax next to the Cyprus non-dom figures and names the exit rule you have to plan around, from Germany's Wegzugsbesteuerung to the UK's five-year temporary non-residence trap. You finish knowing whether the move is worth a closer look and where people get caught on the way out.

Topic guides on the nine big decisions

Non-dom status, company costs, cost of living, cities, residency permits, healthcare, schools, cars and buying property each get a full guide. Every one carries the figures in force today and the catch that comes with them. Start with the non-dom guide if tax is your main question.

The 2026 reform ledger

The homepage table lists what the December 2025 reform changed, with the old figure struck through beside the new one. Corporate tax went from 12.5% to 15%. SDC on dividends for domiciled residents dropped from 17% to 5%, and the tax-free band rose from €19,500 to €22,000. You see at a glance which numbers a provider quoting old rates has missed.

The tax savings calculator

The calculator compares what you pay now in 18 countries against a Cyprus non-dom setup, for dividends, salary or a mix. It deducts €5,000 a year in company running costs before it shows a saving. You get a rough scale check in two minutes. For an exact figure, ask a licensed accountant.

The 2026 relocation checklist

A two-page checklist covers every step from three months out to your first month on the island: apostilles, exit-tax checks, the yellow slip and non-dom registration. It also lists the stale numbers that expose an out-of-date provider. We email it to you free.

The blog

The blog has 34 shorter posts on single questions, such as the 60-day tax residency rule, opening a bank account or exchanging a driving licence. Use it when you need one answer fast.

The provider match

Tell us your plan in a two-minute form and we reply within one business day with one or two licensed Cyprus firms that fit, plus their typical fees. You compare before anyone calls you. The firms cover company formation, tax, legal work, immigration, insurance and car imports.

Not advice. ClearCyprus is general information, written by people who made this move and not by licensed advisers. It is not tax, legal, accounting or immigration advice, and errors are possible. Confirm anything you plan to act on with a licensed professional in Cyprus and in your current country. Full disclaimer.

What makes ClearCyprus different

We sell no service of our own

Most sites that rank for Cyprus relocation belong to firms selling their own service. Nomad Capitalist sells paid consulting plans and sets its client bar at $500,000 of pre-tax income or $1 million of net worth. Global Citizen Solutions is a migration consultancy that acts as your representative and files your residency application. ClearCyprus charges you nothing and has no service to upsell, so no guide exists to steer you toward one.

Current figures, with the old ones shown

Every Cyprus figure follows the reform in force since 1 January 2026. Where a rate moved, we print the superseded figure beside it: 12.5% to 15% corporate tax, €19,500 to €22,000 tax-free, and the €350 company levy marked as abolished. You can spot a stale quote the moment you see one.

We name the catch every time

Non-dom residents pay 0% SDC on dividends and interest for 17 years. They still pay 2.65% GHS on income up to €180,000, which is up to €4,770 a year. A Cyprus company costs €3,000 to €7,000 a year to run, exit taxes exist, and US citizens still file with the IRS. We put these on the page next to the headline rate.

You see fees before the first call

Our match reply names one or two firms with their typical fee ranges, within one business day. Firms must show their ICPAC, Cyprus Bar Association or other regulator registration, and we check the number. A firm that goes quiet on our readers stops getting introductions.

A named person reads every request

Mario, who runs ClearCyprus, reads every match request himself. No call centre, no bot, and no sales team. The phone field is optional, and nobody phones you if you leave it blank.

Who uses ClearCyprus

  • Founders and consultants in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland who pay themselves dividends from their own company and want to know what 0% SDC as a Cyprus non-dom would change
  • Company owners with roughly €60,000 to €80,000 or more of profit a year, the range where our calculator shows a Cyprus company starting to beat its running costs
  • South Africans planning a whole-family move who need the SARS tax emigration and exit charge picture
  • Remote workers checking whether the 60-day tax residency rule fits the way they split their year
  • Families comparing international school fees and waiting lists, GESY healthcare and rents across Limassol, Nicosia, Larnaca and Paphos
  • Retirees weighing the cost of living, healthcare and pension tax in Cyprus
  • Non-EU citizens, including UK citizens after Brexit, working out which residency permit route applies to them
  • US citizens who want the honest version of what Cyprus does and does not change under citizenship-based taxation
  • Licensed Cyprus fiduciaries, lawyers, accountants, insurance brokers and car import agents who want introductions from readers who have done the reading

The team behind ClearCyprus

Mario Lucas, founder

Mario writes ClearCyprus from Cyprus, where he lives. He builds AI agents and automation for a living and runs CourseAdvisor, which answers education providers' new leads with AI voice agents. He speaks English and Greek, and he has run hands-on automation workshops for founders in Paphos.

He reads every match request, writes back himself and makes the introductions personally. You can find him on LinkedIn, and every post he has written is listed on his author page.

Why the site exists

ClearCyprus started from the experience of moving to and living in Cyprus, and from finding that nearly every guide came from a firm with something to sell. Many still quoted rates that expired with the 2026 reform. The site writes down what we learned, with the current numbers and the catches left in.

Who else is involved

The team is small on purpose. There is no sales team and no call centre. The professional work is done by the independently licensed firms we introduce you to, under their own licence.

How ClearCyprus works

How to reach us

Use the match form for an introduction, or the checklist form for the free checklist. For anything else, email mario@utomat.com. If you leave no phone number, everything happens by email.

Response times

Match requests get a reply within one business day. Cyprus firms who write in about partnering usually hear back within a couple of business days.

How we research and update the numbers

Cyprus figures come from the reform legislation and official sources such as the Cyprus Tax Department, the Registrar of Companies and the Civil Registry and Migration Department. Each guide shows the date it was last updated. Blog and social posts take their figures from the guides, and a figure the guides do not carry does not get published. Home-country figures are indicative summaries of public information, so check them with an adviser at home.

How introductions work

You tell us where you are coming from, what you plan and when. We reply with one or two licensed firms and their typical fees. If you want to go ahead, we pass your details to that firm and step out. You engage the firm directly, your contract is with them, and they pay us a referral fee only if you become their client.

For property, the introduction goes to L.B. Landbank Property Consultants Ltd (Registration No. 594, Licence No. 154/E), a licensed Cyprus estate agency. We do no estate agency work ourselves.
